The weekend before last I had the pleasure of joining a great group on Homestake Peak in the northern-Sawatch Range. After a few trip reports were thrown up on 14ers.com indicating good coverage and ski conditions high on the peak, it became an obvious option for a late-January tour. Pagoda Mountain sits at the southern end of Glacier Gorge in between two of Rocky Mountain National Park’s beasts: Longs Peak and Chiefs Head Peak. With an elevation of 13,497′, Pagoda Mountain is the 7th highest ranked peak in The Park. Still trying to get caught up on TRs from last year.  In November Brian, Dillon, and I loaded up into the Jeep and made our way down to the Sangres with a less-than-stellar weather forecast looming over our heads.
