“Grand Traverse Peak” South Face Ski
In the wake of huge March snow totals and one of the crazier avalanche cycles Colorado has ever seen, a pocket of sustained high-pressure finally wiggled its way over the state this past week. Eager to get the spring ski season kicked off, Brian and I were looking to take advantage of the good weather and settling snowpack. September 10, a fine fall day, and I was visitin’ my cousin, Steve for a few days in Denver, and so decided to tag with him on some type of mountain traverse. This here’s Cletus, and Steve’ll be mad as a badger to see i done commandeered his email account. So we get to Montgomery Reservoir and head up the jeep road.
